Dr. Doug is a Chiropractic Physician at D'Vida with over 20 years of clinical experience spanning acute care, sports injury rehabilitation, and primary care medicine. Originally from Helena, Montana, he completed his undergraduate studies at Portland State University before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the University of Western States (formerly Western States Chiropractic College) in 2006. His personal path to chiropractic medicine was inspired by his own recovery following a severe bicycle accident in 1998, giving him a deeply personal understanding of patient rehabilitation.
Dr. Doug practices holistic, patient-centered, evidence-based care. Utilizing an integrative approach, he customizes treatment plans by blending diversified adjusting techniques, low-force manipulation, and targeted nervous system therapies. He holds advanced training in the Graston Technique and is highly proficient in soft tissue therapies and rehabilitative exercise. Committed to treating the whole person, Dr. Doug prioritizes extended patient consultations, active listening, and strong clinical communication to achieve optimal physical and functional health outcomes.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Doug maintains an active lifestyle as an avid cyclist, bike camper, and hiker. When he isn't exploring the West Hills or hiking the Columbia River Gorge, he enjoys culinary arts, playing classical guitar, and spending time at home with his two cats, Lily and Luna.
